Acceptable Use Policy

Purpose and scope

This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of the Terms of Service and applies whenever you access TheOnlineToolset, submit content, request an operation, or use an output. It is designed to protect users, rights holders, the public, and the service. Examples are illustrative and do not limit the policy.

Use the service lawfully

Use the service only for lawful purposes and only with files, data, systems, and operations you are authorized to use. You remain responsible for your content, requested processing, outputs, and compliance with law, contracts, confidentiality duties, and third-party rights.

Prohibited content and conduct

You must not use the service to create, upload, transform, conceal, facilitate, promote, or distribute:

  • unlawful content or activity, or material that facilitates a crime;
  • child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation of a minor, or content that grooms, endangers, or abuses a child;
  • non-consensual intimate imagery, unlawfully obtained private material, doxxing, stalking, harassment, threats, or material that violates privacy, confidentiality, publicity, or data-protection rights;
  • content that exploits, traffics, coerces, abuses, or incites violence or serious harm against a person or protected group;
  • material that infringes copyright, trademark, trade-secret, patent, or other intellectual-property rights;
  • malware, ransomware, spyware, destructive code, malicious documents, or instructions or payloads intended to compromise a person, device, account, data, or system;
  • phishing, impersonation, fraud, spam, credential theft, unauthorized credential testing, or deceptive material intended to obtain money, access, or sensitive information; or
  • content whose possession, processing, or distribution is prohibited in the relevant jurisdiction.

Intellectual property and privacy

Do not process material unless you have the necessary rights and permission. You may not remove rights-management information, bypass lawful access restrictions, falsely claim ownership, expose personal data without authority, identify anonymous people unlawfully, or use an output to infringe or invade another person’s rights.

Copyright concerns should be reported using the process in the Terms of Service at [email protected]. Do not upload or resend the disputed work solely to report it.

Security abuse is prohibited

You must not use the service to identify or exploit vulnerable systems, gain unauthorized access, intercept data, test stolen credentials, evade authentication elsewhere, or compromise devices, accounts, networks, or people. Do not probe, scan, test, reverse-engineer, or defeat the service or its safeguards without written authorization, except to the limited extent applicable law expressly permits.

Disruption and interference

You must not disrupt, degrade, overload, deny service to, or interfere with the service or another user. Prohibited conduct includes coordinated or excessive requests, intentionally wasteful processing, storage exhaustion, malicious uploads, interference with downloads, and attempts to reserve capacity without a genuine tool request.

Automated, bulk, and scraped access

Do not use bots, scripts, crawlers, scrapers, distributed clients, or other automated or bulk methods unless expressly authorized in writing or offered as an intended service feature. You must not harvest content or technical data, reproduce substantial parts of the service, conceal automation, rotate identities to avoid controls, or use automated access in a way that burdens the service or affects other users.

Limits and safeguards

Respect all file, request, processing, storage, concurrency, and other usage limits. Do not bypass, evade, disable, manipulate, or help another person avoid a limit or protective measure. The absence of an immediate block does not mean an activity is permitted.

Temporary files are not a distribution channel

Uploaded files, generated outputs, and download links are temporary and may be removed before a stated maximum retention period. Do not use temporary links to host, publish, distribute, or conceal prohibited material. Keep your originals and download legitimate outputs promptly; the service is not a backup, archive, or permanent-storage provider.

Enforcement

When the operator reasonably suspects a violation, it may reject or cancel processing, restrict requests, disable links, remove files, preserve evidence, investigate, block access, or report conduct to affected parties or authorities when legally permitted or required. Responses may consider severity, intent, recurrence, risk, legal obligations, and feasibility. The operator is not required to provide advance notice when doing so could increase harm, undermine an investigation, violate law, or is impracticable for anonymous use.

Reporting suspected abuse

Report suspected abuse through the Contact page or to [email protected]. Identify the tool, approximate time, relevant link or identifier, the nature of the concern, and your authority where relevant. Do not attach passwords, child sexual abuse material, malware, non-consensual private material, or complete confidential files. For privacy handling, see the Privacy Policy; for browser technologies, see the Cookie Policy.

Changes

The operator may update this policy as risks, laws, or the service change. The effective date will be revised, and additional notice will be provided where required. Continued use after an update takes effect means the updated policy applies to that use.

See the Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.
